Precision design, requirement analysis and design
First, the designer needs to have in-depth communication with the client to understand their processing requirements. Based on the results of the requirement analysis, the designer uses professional design software to draw the mold drawings. The drawings should clearly specify the structural form of the mold, the dimensional accuracy of each component, the fit tolerance, the surface roughness and other technical requirements.
Material selection ensures the quality of the mold
According to the requirements of the design drawings, select the appropriate mold material. Generally, for bending machine molds, alloy tool steel with high strength, high hardness, good wear resistance and toughness is chosen.
Rough processing and manufacturing stage
After the material is cut, rough machining is carried out, including milling, planing, turning and other operations, to remove most of the allowance, making the shape and size of the parts close to the design requirements. During rough machining, attention should be paid to the control of the machining allowance to ensure that there is sufficient allowance for subsequent finish machining.
Heat treatment process
After the rough machining is completed, heat treatment is carried out on the mold components. The heat treatment process includes quenching, tempering, etc., to enhance the hardness and wear resistance of the material, while eliminating the residual stress generated during the processing to ensure the stability and accuracy of the mold during operation.
Fine processing stage
The working surfaces of the grinding processing mold, such as the cutting edges and mating surfaces of the upper and lower molds, are processed to achieve the dimensional accuracy and surface roughness required by the drawing. Fine processing is a key link to ensure the accuracy of the mold. High-precision processing equipment and measuring instruments are used to ensure that the dimensional accuracy and shape accuracy of each component meet the requirements.
Surface treatment process
For qualified molds, anti-rust treatment is usually carried out by sandblasting to enhance corrosion resistance. The surface of the mold is treated with black oxidation to ensure uniform coating and no impact on dimensional accuracy.
Assembly and Testing
We assemble the processed mold components into a complete mold according to the design requirements, and then install the assembled mold on the bending machine for testing.
Comprehensive quality inspection
Conduct a comprehensive quality inspection of the tested molds, including appearance quality checks and dimensional accuracy inspections. Use high-precision measuring instruments to recheck the key dimensions of the molds.
Laser marking
We will perform laser marking on the mold according to the customer’s requirements, clearly marking the model, brand and production batch number on the side of the mold.
Packaging and delivery
Use sturdy wooden crates, with foam or wooden boards inside to separate and fix them to prevent damage from collisions during transportation. Deliver the packaged molds according to the customer’s requirements, and provide relevant technical data, inspection reports, etc. at the same time.
